STOUGHTON-Chase J. Newman, age 26, found peace in the arms of God on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, after a long battle with dependency.

He was born on Nov. 8, 1985, in Madison, the son of Jeff and Leslie (Showers) Newman. Chase graduated from Monona Grove High School in 2004. He was active in DECA, winning national awards. Chase was working for Seamonson’s Landscaping. He was known for his infectious smile that could light up a room. Chase loved sports. He was an avid Badgers and Brewers fan.

Chase is survived by his parents, Jeff and Leslie Newman; sister, Callie (Terry) Ward; sister-in-law, Juliya Fitzgerald; grandfather, Douglas Showers; grandmother, Charlotte Lambrecht; niece and nephews, Ellie and Parker Ward, Rudy Virnig, and Vassili Fitzgerald; aunts and uncles; cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Chad Newman-Fitzgerald; grandfather, Sylvester Newman; grandmother, Joyce Showers; and uncle, Marc Showers.

Funeral services will be held at Door Creek Church, 6602 Dominion Drive, Madison, at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012, with the Rev. Marc Maillefer presiding. Private burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 5:30 p.m. until the time of service on Monday.

Visitation will be held at the church from 5:30 p.m. until the time of service on Monday.

Service:
Funeral services will be held at Door Creek Church, 6602 Dominion Drive, Madison, at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012, with the Rev. Marc Maillefer presiding.

Cemetery:
Private burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
