Catholic university in Philadelphia taps Wisconsin college president

ASTON, Pa. — A Catholic university in suburban Philadelphia has named a Wisconsin college president as its new president.
Neumann University announced Tuesday that Chris Domes, current president of Silver Lake College, will take over in July.
Longtime president Rosalie Mirenda announced in August that she would retire in June after more than two decades at the helm and more than 44 years at the university.
Board of trustees chairman James Delaney said Domes had led initiatives in strategic planning, fundraising and expansion of academic programs, among other things, but most of all is “a proponent of Catholic Franciscan education.”
A Neumann spokesman said Domes is the first man to lead the college in its 52-year history.
