Catch Badger Basketball Tuesday Night On TVW

The No. 14-ranked Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team (8-2) look to continue their domination of their in-state rivals the UW-Milwaukee Panthers this Tuesday night, Dec. 13, and TVW will be Madison’s exclusive TV home for the game.

Live coverage from Milwaukee’s U.S. Cellular Arena tips off at 7 p.m.

Coming off his career-best 25-point performance against UNLV Saturday afternoon, the Badgers have been led in scoring this year by sophomore guard Ben Brust, who is averaging over 12 points a game.

Leading the team in minutes is senior point guard Jordan Taylor, who rebounded from a disappointing performance against Marquette on Dec. 3 to record a double-double (15 points, 10 assists) in a blowout victory over UW-Green Bay on Dec. 7.

Having reached the 250-win mark at Wisconsin after Saturday’s victory, Badgers head coach Bo Ryan will be looking for his 251st win. Ryan is the third-fastest coach in Big Ten history to reach 250 wins.

The Panthers (8-2) hope to bounce back after a 67-51 loss at Northern Iowa on Saturday, which snapped a four-game winning streak.

Despite the Panthers’ hot start — their best in nine years — beating Wisconsin will not come easy for UW-Milwaukee, who have beaten the Badgers just once in 28 tries. Wisconsin has won the last 18 meetings between the teams.

The Panthers have not beaten a Big Ten team since toppling Purdue in 2005.

Tuesday night’s regular programming (back-to-back episodes of Cold Case) will be seen beginning at 10:30 p.m. on TVW.

TVW is channel 14 on Charter Cable and DirecTV and can be seen over-the-air on channel 3.2.
