Cassville teen attacked by 3 pit bulls

CASSVILLE, Wis. — A Cassville teenager is recovering after he was attacked and bitten by three pit bull terriers.

The Capital Times reported the 15-year-old, who runs track at Cassville High School, was running past a home in the southwestern Wisconsin town of Cassville when the three pit bulls came at him Monday.
Officials with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said the teen was bitten several times by the pit bulls. The owner of one of the dogs tried to get the dogs away from the teen one at a time and also was bitten.

Authorities said the teen needed several hours of surgery to repair the damage.

The attack remains under investigation.
