Cash covers Illinois interstate after crash

Illinois state troopers spent part of their day Wednesday cleaning up cash on I-74 after a Champaign County crash, WCIA-TV reported.
The News-Gazette reported that the bills were spilled when a driver carrying money from video gambling machines lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a car near Mahomet.
Officials said the driver carrying the cash was going too fast, lost control, hit a guardrail and crashed into another car. A third car that was trying to avoid the wreck ended up in a ditch, the WCIA report said.
Trooper Tracy Lillard said the highway was closed for about an hour while the cash was cleaned up, according to the News-Gazette.
Lillard said there were minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
