She survived a bout of TB from working in a TB ward. Survived Polio as a child. Learned to trust and love her family through the great depression and is a die hard Packer fan, even through the dreaded 70-80’s. Carolyn lived in many places throughout the stages in her life. As a child she traveled with her family across the country from base to base, her father was in both world wars and dedicated to the Army. Later in life she lived in Santa Barbara, Corpus Christi and Green Bay, to mention a few. She met many people but she always wanted to come home to Platteville. She enjoyed long walks through Platteville, exploring and reminiscing of her days as a child growing up, she was a volunteer at the schools, an artist and family historian that loved her family and cared for them no matter their hardships. She was a healer, educator and a friend and her knowledge and history will be missed.
