Carol A. Evenson

JANESVILLE— Carol A. Evenson, age 80, of Janesville, died peacefully Friday, April 20, 2012, at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. She was born in Onalaska on Nov. 6, 1931, the daughter of George and Mildred (Lambert) Renstrom. Carol married Lloyd Evenson on May 26, 1951 in Onalaska. He preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 2009. She was employed as a medical records clerk for Mercy Visiting Nurses Association before retiring in 2002. Carol enjoyed gardening, quilting, baking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her 5 children: Daniel (Jackie Marcec) Evenson of Walker, LA, Todd (Jennifer) Evenson of Milwaukee, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Evenson of Janesville, Patty (Dennis Schultz) Poberezny of Menomonee Falls, and Kristin (Noel) Zimmer of Janesville; 4 grandchildren: Katherine (Kyle) Jacobs, Ryan Fagan, Tyler Evenson and Alex Evenson; a great grandson, Logan Yungerman; a brother, John Renstrom of Onalaska; and a sister, Bettie Haines of Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a brother, Donald Renstrom.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH with Rev. Jerry Amstutz officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
