Hagerman powers SP to win
Sun Prairie — Kyle Hagerman scored a pair of goals to power the Sun Prairie boys hockey team past Edgewood 4-2 at Sun Prairie Ice Arena.
Hagerman got the Cardinals on the board with a first period goal that came less than two minutes into the game.
Edgewood answered with second period goals from Tbone Weis and Cody Menzel to take a 2-1 lead. Carter Watters tied the game with a power play goal, and it was all tied up after two periods.
Hagerman scored the game-winner on a rebound with :58 to play in regulation. Benett Halbleib added an empty-netter for the final margin.
Sun Prairie improves to 14-3 (9-2 Big Eight), and Edgewood falls to 12-6 (7-1 Badger South).
