Bullet found shot into rental property

The owners of a rental property on the east side called police Friday after finding a bullet had been fired into the residence.

Police said the bullet entered through the kitchen and ended up in a bathroom in the residence in the 5200 block of Trafalger Place.

The property owner said he had last inspected the unit at the beginning of June and didn’t know when the damage might have occurred.

Area residents told police there was a recent dispute in the neighborhood where a gun was brandished, but it was not known whether that was when the bullet found in the residence.
