An ordinance designed to create a zone around certain areas in Madison has been tabled for now.

The so-called Bubble Zone ordinance was partially aimed at keeping anti-abortion supporters from approaching women outside places like Planned Parenthood.

A group filed a lawsuit against the ordinance.

Madison City Attorney Michael May said the ordinance is getting tweaked before it will be brought back for consideration at next week’s city council meeting. The council is expected to vote on it then.
