Brodhead police look for reckless motorcycle driver

Brodhead police are hoping the public can help them identify and find a motorcycle driver who was driving recklessly Wednesday night through the city, according to a Facebook post.

Officers responded around 8 p.m. to the 1800 block of East Third Avenue for a complaint of a motorcycle failing to stop for several stop signs, police said.

Police tried to stop the motorcycle on First Center Avenue near Exchange Street, but the rider didn’t stop and officers pursued the motorcycle through several city streets, eventually heading north on Highway 104, according to the post.

Police lost sight of the motorcycle when it turned into a field on the north side of County Road B between Coldren Road and Old 92 Road in Rock County’s Magnolia Township, officials said.

The motorcycle is described as a white dirt-bike style motorcycle with no working taillights or visible registration. The rider was wearing an orange helmet, a red sweatshirt with a “Knutes Bar” logo on it, blue jeans and work boots.

Officials ask anyone who has information on the pursuit to call the Brodhead Police Department at 608-897-2112.
