Brewers thank veterans for their service ahead of Memorial Day game

MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Brewers are thanking Wisconsin veterans for their service as they mark Memorial Day with Military Appreciation Day Monday afternoon at American Family Field.
Ahead of the game, several Brewers players, including Josh Hader, Brad Boxberger, Jackie Bradley Jr., Daniel Robertson, Brent Suter and Daniel Vogelbach took time out of their days to personally thank veterans across the state with one-on-one Zoom calls. The players thanked the veterans for their sacrifice and service before offering them a signed Brewers jersey and an invitation to Monday’s game against the Detroit Tigers.
“It was a great opportunity for us to thank veterans and service members of all branches for their service, sacrifice and bravery,” Hader said in a team statement. “Words are not enough to express the gratitude I hold in my heart for our veterans and the US military.”
The Brewers will honor Wisconsin veterans throughout Monday’s game, which is scheduled to start at 1:10 p.m. at American Family Field.
