Brewers open first series in Oakland in 14 years

The Milwaukee Brewers open a two-game series in Oakland against the Athletics tonight — their eighth game in a 9-game and 10-day road trip. The visit to Oakland is the first in 14 years for the Brewers.
The Brewers will open the series with right-hander Jimmy Nelson on the mound. Nelson is making his first start against the A’s and comes into the contest at 5-6 and a 3.92 ERA. He has gone 0-3 over his last three starts, with his ERA up nearly a full run over the three contests.
Sonny Gray will start the opener for the Athletics.
The Brewers are coming off a 2-1 loss to the Dodgers in Los Angeles.
