Bombers hand Mallards first second half loss
7-1 defeat ends five-game homestand for Madison

MADISON — The Battle Creek Bombers held the Madison Mallards to just five hits in a 7-1 decision at Warner Park Saturday night.
Connor Panas was the hitting star for the Bombers as he smashed his third homer of the season. Panas was 2-4 with three RBI.
Mallards starter Sterling Sharp (3-4) gave up two runs on five hits in his six innings of work.
Bombers pitcher Zac Ryan (2-0) went seven innings allowing just one run on five hits.
Tony Butler had two hits for the Mallards who are now 4-1 in the second half of the Northwoods League season.
The Mallards begin a five-game road trip Sunday at Kalamazoo.
