Hometown:
Janesville, WI
Other journalism experience:
I started off reporting for the Daily Cardinal during my time at UW-Madison. From there I moved on to work as editor of Emmie, a student-run music magazine at the university. I’ve been with Morgan Murphy Media since shortly after graduation.
Started at News 3 Now:
September 2019
Why did you decide to come to Madison?
My family and I used to take trips up to visit State Street, tailgate at Badger games and check out Concerts on the Square pretty regularly, so when it came time to leave for college, Madison was the obvious choice. I’ve been here ever since!
What’s the biggest news story you’ve covered?
Aside from obvious answers like the pandemic and 2020 election, the Halderson investigation is a recent standout.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I spend most of it enjoying the outdoors by running, hiking, hammocking and taking the occasional camping trip. I also spend a lot of time listening to music and reading (mostly non-fiction). Whatever other free time I have is usually spent with friends exploring Madison and the Midwest.
What are you really bad at that you’d love to be great at?
Visual art! I’ve never been good at painting or drawing but would love to hone those skills.

What was your favorite band when you were in high school?

Not a band, but Lil Wayne was The Best Rapper Alive.
