Hometown: Sun Prairie, Wisconsin
Other journalism experience: I got my start in broadcast journalism right here at News 3 Now as a reporting and digital intern during my senior year at UW-Madison. From there, I worked as a multimedia journalist at KAAL-TV in Austin, Minn., a digital content producer at WJZ-TV in Baltimore and a multimedia journalist at WCSC-TV in Charleston, S.C.

Why did you decide to come to Madison? Besides the obvious fact that this is my home, there’s just a certain energy about Madison that’s hard to replicate elsewhere. It’s a community with a lot of big-city amenities and a world-class university that has also retained a lot of its history and charm.
What’s the biggest news story you’ve covered? While the COVID-19 pandemic has been the most prolonged story I’ve covered, I would say the non-COVID story that I’ve covered that has drawn the most attention is the murder of two members of the prominent Murdaugh family in rural South Carolina family and subsequent developments in that case. That case has garnered national and even international attention.
What do you like to do in your spare time? I like to run (though my half-marathon days are long gone), watch HGTV, play some Mario Kart, hang out with friends and, of course, go to Culver’s.
What are you really bad at that you’d love to be great at? I’ve never been good at things that require hand-eye coordination (so most sports), but I’ve come to terms with that.
What was your favorite band when you were in high school? Either Bon Jovi or Lady A, both of which I’ve seen in concert.
