What is your favorite part about living in Madison? The weather always keeps things interesting! I also love all the local restaurants and the downtown atmosphere too!
What is the biggest news story that you’ve covered? I did many hours of live reports during “The Blizzard of 2017,” when 2’-3’ of snow fell across northeastern Pennsylvania.
What do you like to do in your spare time? I love participating in escape rooms! I think at last count I’ve completed about 15 across Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. My success rate is around 75%, so there’s definitely room for improvement! Also, I like listening to comedy albums, having fun at bar trivia, and going on adventures with my wife.
What is your favorite kind of ice cream? Mint-Chocolate Chip all day!
What is the funniest thing that’s ever happened to you? Embarrassing things happen to me almost hourly, but everything related to me proposing to my wife went wrong. I left my cell phone in a cab, it started raining, and I tripped and fell with the ring almost flying out of my pocket in a comedy club. Because my wife is a charitable person, she still said yes!
What is your favorite place to vacation? The Jersey Shore, of course!
Who is your hero and why? My hero is my best friend from college, Blaise. He is one of the bravest people I know and makes a positive impact on every person he meets.
If you could possess one superhuman power, what would it be? I would choose being able to go five seconds back in time and stop myself from saying/doing something embarrassing.
What are you really bad at that you’d love to be great at? Sometimes I’m really bad at writing complete senten
What is the worst job you have ever had? All my jobs have been great! (They might see this) One time my aunt asked me to clean the feeding trough for her horses, and that was horrifying.
What is your favorite tradition around the holidays? My mom is both Italian and from the state of Georgia. So, anytime as a family we have antipasto, I’m in heaven. Also, on New Year’s Day, we have a traditional southern meal (collard greens, ham, and cornbread) to help bring you luck.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received? “Failure is not falling down, but staying down.” Mary Pickford
If you could relive any moment…what would that be? My wedding day! It was a blast!
Where were you when September 11, 2001 occurred? I was in 4th grade. From the windows of my school, you could see the planes attacking the Twin Towers. My dad works in New York City, and no one could get him on the phone because service was jammed. Thankfully, he was ok. It is a day that I’ll never forget.
