Biker injured in hit-and-run crash outside Watertown

A biker was significantly injured in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday night outside of Watertown, according to a release from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department.

The hit-and-run was reported around 9 p.m.Tuesday near W8089 County Road Q, which is about a half mile west of Richwood just outside Watertown, officials said.

A 35-year-old rural Watertown man was legally riding his bike and was hit by a vehicle going west on the highway, according to the release. The driver did not stop.

The biker suffered significant, but non-life-threatening injuries, and was treated at an area hospital, officials said.

Police are looking for the vehicle involved in the crash, and said it should have damage to a passenger side window, and may or may not have other passenger side damage.
