Bicyclist collides with car, goes airborne

2-year-old injured by bicyclist

A bicyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries after the driver of a car pulled into his path Tuesday morning, according to a release from Madison police.

Police said the bicyclist, a man in his 20s, was outbound on Raymond Road at 7:46 a.m. when an inbound driver turned from Raymond Road onto Marty Road. The bicyclist struck the right front of the car and went airborne, according to the report.

The bicyclist was taken to a hospital with head injuries. Police said he was initially unconscious, but was talking by the time he got to the hospital.

The driver will be cited for failure to yield.
