Beverly Ann Simonson, age 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 30, 2012. She was born February 29, 1924 in Vernon County, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Thompson) Fladhammer. Beverly enjoyed being a “Leap Year” baby saying most years she celebrated for 2 days, the 28 th and the 1 st of the month. Beverly graduated from Viroqua High School in 1942. She loved her vacations: visiting her brother’s home in California and her son’s home in California; she also enjoyed raising flowers, reading cookbooks, taking walks with her Pug dog, Daisy Mae, and volunteering at Norseland Nursing Home in Westby, WI. An independent spirit, she instilled a strong work ethic in each of her children. Beverly worked at the Vernon County Asylum and Vernon Manor doing patient care and Vernon County Tobacco Warehouse.

Beverly will be remembered as a cheerful person always willing to help others, a great cook who loved to make rosettes, sunbakles, lefse, homemade soup; no one ever left her table hungry. She loved to dance, and for many years you could find her on the dance floor with her best friend, Orben Olson. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great pleasure and she loved each of them in her own unique way.
