Bernice Hazel Osborne

Bernice Hazel Osborne, 95, of Richland Center, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021 in Praire du Chien.

She was born on December 21, 1925 in Ithaca, the daughter of Philip and Wilhelmina (Helmer) Schlafer. She graduated from Ithaca High School and furthered her education at Richland County Normal. Bunni was united in marriage with Robert Osborne in 1946. She cherished music, especially Monte Berger’s Band. Bunni loved going dancing, working in her flowerbeds and being outdoors. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Bunni is survived by four children: Sandra (Larry) Coy of Mineral Point, Connie Osborne of Prairie du Chien, Vickie (Errol) Wilson of Richland Center, Ronald (Marlah) Osborne of Fitchburg; 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Bunni was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Leo, son Robert Dean ‘Bobby’, brothers: Philip ‘Bud’ Schlafer, Neil Schlafer, Earl Schlafer, Darryl ‘Dutch’ Schlafer; sisters: Elizbeth Wilson, Agnes Nicke, and Eunice ‘Nonie’ Durst.

Graveside services will be held at the Richland Center Cemetery on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 10:00 AM with a memorial gathering to follow.
