Bernald ‘Bun’ F. Harris

Bernald ‘Bun’ Harris, age 84, died on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Sannes Skogdalen Nursing Home in Soldiers Grove. He was born May 5, 1928 in Akan Township, the son of Harry and Lelia (Bell) Harris. Bun farmed in Richland County for several years. He later became a member of the bricklayers union for 50 years, and worked in the Madison area. Bun married Carol MacLeod on July 23, 1977 and they lived in Akan Township for 35 years. He enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, working in the woods, snowmobiling and fishing. He is remembered as someone who was fun-loving, kind and generous.

Bun was preceded in death by his first wife Letha, his parents, his sister Elaine Donner and his brother Bueford Harris.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Burial will be in the Felton Cemetery. Friends may call at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the Bun Harris family.

Even though they were stepchildren, he was considered the best father and grandfather they could have had.
