Beloit police bust large underage alcohol party
Police issue 27 municipal citations

BELOIT, Wis. — Beloit police said they issued 27 municipal citations after discovering an underage alcohol party while responding to a noise complaint Saturday night.
Police responded to the 900 block of Clary Street at about 10:40 p.m. Saturday.
Officers discovered an underage alcohol party taking place, and they initially had contact with more than 40 people, according to a Beloit Police Department news release.
During the course of the investigation, it was determined that approximately 23 of the partygoers were below the age of 21, police said.
A total of 27 municipal citations were issued.
Beloit police said the homeowner was cited for a noise ordinance violation, furnishing alcohol to minors, sale of alcohol without a permit and allowing minors to drink on the premises.
All of the other subjects were cited and were released to a responsible party or on their own recognizance for those who were adults, police said.
