Beloit PD doles out 32 tickets at underage drinking party
Report of kids darting out into traffic leads police to party house
BELOIT, Wis. — Beloit police said officers broke up a drinking party with dozens of guests early Saturday.
At about 2 a.m., officers from the City of Beloit Police Department responded to a report of kids playing in traffic near the 2100 block of Liberty Avenue.
On arrival, officers discovered an underage alcohol party taking place and initially encountered more than 50 individuals.
Police said 30 of the party-goers were below the age of 21. According to the report, 32 citations were issued.
Police added that party-goers who received citations were released to a responsible party, or for those adults cited, they were released on their own recognizance.
