Beloit man accused of distributing heroin, crack cocaine

A Beloit man is facing federal charges for selling heroin and crack cocaine.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Marcus Payton, 30, was arrested Friday by the FBI. He was indicted Wednesday on three counts of distributing heroin and crack cocaine.

The indictment states Payton distributed heroin on April 25 and May 5 and distributed cocaine on Aug. 11. He faces up to 20 years in federal prison on each charge if convicted.
