Axford Spoils Rogers Great Outing

HOUSTON — The Milwaukee Brewers bullpen blew another game Friday night.

Houston’s Brian Bogusevic had a run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth off John Axford to give the Astros a 4-3 win.

Brewers starter Mark Rogers was spectacular in his seven innings of work. He allowed just three hits, two walks, one run and struck out nine batters.

But Francisco Rodriguez gave up a run in the eighth to make it 3-2, the Axford gave up two more in the ninth as Houston had its first walk-off win of the season.

Wilton Lopez (4-1) got the win in relief for Houston while Axford (4-7) took the loss for Milwaukee

It was the Brewers 10th straight loss on the road.
