Beatrice Marie Mitchell

JANESVILLE— Beatrice Marie Mitchell, age 94, of Janesville, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at St. Elizabeth’s Manor, Footville.

She was born on January 16, 1918, in East Chicago, IN, the daughter of Charles and Anna (DePaula) Costello. She lived in Janesville most of her life and was a 1935 graduate of Janesville High School. She married Wayne E. Mitchell on October 21, 1950, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Janesville and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1990. She worked for Ryan Inc. as a secretary for 18 years and also with WT Flaherty Auto Supply as a bookkeeper for 25 years. She was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church, Janesville.

She is survived by her brother, Charles (Arlene) Costello of Janesville; 7 nieces and nephews: Cheryl (Jim Lilburn) Hahn, Charles A. (Tammie Shearer) Costello, Steven (Melissa) Costello, Michael (Michele) Costello, Kristin (Matthew) Hoium, Carrie (Daniel) Craddick and Patti (John) Brockhaus; great-nieces and nephews: Rachel, Sarah, and Kevin Hahn, Emily and Ryan Costello, Jarrett and Jacob Costello, Lexi and Carter Hoium, Avery and Curran Craddick, and Ian and Lola Brockhaus. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; and a sister, Josephine Costello.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at ST. WILLIAMS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Janesville with Fr. John Auby officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Janesville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at ST. WILLIAMS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Janesville. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, Janesville is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare Inc. or St. Elizabeth’s Manor.
