Barbara Berger

MADISON-Barbara Berger, age 60, of Madison passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 10, 2012 at Belmont, N.H. She was born on June 28, 1951, in the Bronx of New York City, the daughter of James and Celia (Bick) Culbreth.

Barbara graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1969, in Jacksonville, Fla. She attended college in Illinois where she received an associate’s degree in Business. Barbara did various secretarial jobs and then became a rehabilitation counselor for the State of Texas. She enjoyed shopping, playing cards, taking care of her plants, and going out for coffee and dinner. Barbara also loved animals and enjoyed creating pottery and spending time with friends and family.

Barbara is survived by her siblings, Walter L. (Cheryl) Culbreth, Paul L. Culbreth, and Joyce Pertzborn; and her niece and nephew, Lauren Culbreth and Kyle Pertzborn, as well as many close friends.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012.
