Barbara Ann Springer

Barbara Ann Springer

Linden – Barbara Ann Springer, age 72, of Linden, WI, passed away peacefully at her home on January 2, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

Barbara was born on February 27, 1950, to Paul and Evelyn Mozoski in Mt. Clemens, MI. She was the second oldest of 7 children.

She married her first husband, Stanley Harms, in 1970 and had four children. They operated a dairy farm near Cobb, WI for nearly a decade while Barbara also worked as a CNA at Bloomfield Manor. First and foremost though, she was a loving and dedicated mother.

In 1995, Barbara married Larry Springer. He was her devoted and loving husband until the end. Together they were proud grandparents to 20 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was known as GG to many of her grandchildren and the life lessons she taught them will stay with them forever.

In addition to her love of her family, Barbara was an excellent baker, gardener, dedicated church member and lover of the farm life. She was a caregiver throughout her life as her profession, and to those that needed it most. Through good times and bad, Barbara was the picture of strength, grace and beauty. A cornerstone of this family, Barb/Mom/Grandma/GG will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Springer; her children Deborah (Daniel) Koonce, Jeffrey (Ann Martin) Harms, Katherine (Tony) Bender, and James Harms; her siblings Paul (Diane) Mozoski of Fountain Inn, SC, Nancy (Kelly) Prettyman of Prescott, AZ, Sharon (Mark) Wasley of Mineral Point, WI, Tom (Paula) Mozoski of Milwaukee, WI, and Karen (Rich) Field of Minneapolis, MN; her extended family Steve (Sheri) Springer, Mark Springer and Christine Kenow; all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Fr. Jim Murphy will officiate.
