Ball, Zeitler Named First Team All-Americans
Three University of Wisconsin Badgers football players are being honored for being some of the top college football players in America this year.
Running back Montee Ball and offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler have both been named first team All-Americans by the Associated Press.
Ball rushed for 38 touchdowns this year, one TD short of matching Barry Sanders’ all-time college football record of 39. He lead the nation in rushing with 1,759 yards.
Zeitler started at right guard in all 13 games this year. He blocked for an offense that averaged 467 yards a game and ranked no. 4 nationally in scoring,
Joining them on the second team is offensive lineman Peter Konz, who made the team even though he was injured the last three weeks of the season.
