LINCOLN, Neb. —  The race for the Big Ten championship is now over, as the third-ranked Wisconsin volleyball team defeated No. 5 Nebraska Friday night to earn the program’s fourth straight conference crown.

Unlike the last time the two teams faced off, it wasn’t a sweep for the Badgers. The Cornhuskers took the second set, but Wisconsin responded by winning the next two to claim the title.

Going into Friday, the reigning national champion Badgers had won 16 consecutive games and were 23-3 overall for the season.
