Badgers sweep Michigan State on Senior Day
Teams ends regular season 19-9-2

MADISON, Wis. — In the last home series of the season, the Badger men’s hockey team sent the seniors out in style, beating Michigan State 2-0 Saturday at the Kohl Center.
In the first period, the Badgers got a power play and Joseph Labate took advantage. Labate scored his 10th goal of the season to make it 1-0 UW.
In the second period, with the score still 1-0, the Badgers got another power play. This time, Michael Mersch capitalized. Mersch scored his team leading 19th goal of the season to push the Badgers lead to 2-0.
Joel Rumpel carried them the rest of the way, tallying 31 saves.
