Badgers roll in opener, 62-31
Kaminsky's double-double leads Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team opened its regular season with a convincing 62-31 win over Northern Kentucky at the Kohl Center Friday night.
Players and coaches were presented with rings commemorating the Badgers’ trip to the Final Four last April and a banner was raised to the Kohl Center rafters before the game.
Once the game started, the Badgers opened a 28-15 lead at halftime.
Wisconsin outscored the Norse 34-16 in the second half to pull away for the 31-point win.
The Badgers held Northern Kentucky to 26-percent field goal shooting.
Frank Kaminsky scored 16 points and had 11 rebounds. Sam Dekker added 15 and Nigel Hayes had a career high 10 rebounds.
Wisconsin will host Chattanooga at the Kohl Center Sunday at noon.
