Badgers put on full pads for first time

Free scrimmage coming up Sunday morning
Badgers put on full pads for first time

The Wisconsin Badger football team had a full padded practice for the first time this fall camp Friday at Camp Randall Stadium.

Running back Melvin Gordon said, “It feels good. It feels really good. We are playing physical today, those guys trying to get after us. It feels good. Not hitting since South Carolina, it’s a difference.”

“The first day I put the pads on, I was a little sore, my shoulders a little sore, but you get adjusted well. The scrimmage is where you get your whole body used to the banging again.”

The Badgers will have their first scrimmage of camp Sunday morning at 11. The scrimmage is free and open to the public.
