Badgers Fill The Bowl, Gophers roll

Wisconsin Women’s Hockey wanted to Fill The Bowl at the Kohl Center. They did just that. An NCAA record 13,573 packed the Kohl Center Saturday night to see top-ranked Minnesota face No. 2 Wisconsin. The Gophers were unfazed by the crowd and calmly beat the Badgers 4-0.

The teams were scoreless through one period. In the second, the Gophers drew first blood. Kelly Terry went top shelf on Alex Rigsby to make it 1-0 Minnesota. Later in the second, the Gophers seized control when Hannah Brandt got behind a reeling Rigsby to make it 2-0.

In the third period, the Gophers tacked on two more goals to win 4-0. In two homes games against the Gophers, the Badgers were outscored 7-2.
