MADISON, Wis. — The Badger volleyball team has made a home for themselves at No. 3 in the AVCA poll.

Wisconsin stayed in the third spot for a third-straight poll, after rising to that position on Oct. 31. San Diego stayed at No. 2 and Texas remained at the top in this week’s poll, which was released Monday.

The Badgers are in the middle of a phenomenal stretch of volleyball, winning 14-straight matches against Big Ten opponents dating back to Sept. 30. Eight of those wins were in straight sets, and the Badgers only dropped two sets in one match during the streak.

Wisconsin has just three blemishes to its record: An early season loss to current No. 15 Baylor, a Sept. 16 loss to current No. 10 Florida, and a Sept. 25 loss to current No. 9 Minnesota. The Badgers hold wins over eight currently ranked teams.

The Badgers face a gauntlet of a schedule to end the season. Four matches remain, all on the road. The first one comes against Rutgers on Friday. Then it’s on to No. 14 Penn State, then No. 6 Nebraska, and finally No. 5 Ohio State.
