Badger players ready to handle challenging schedule

The Wisconsin Badger football camp begins fall training camp Monday, and players said they’re ready to handle the daunting schedule ahead.
The Badgers start their season September 3 rd against #16 LSU at Lambeau Field. Then comes a stretch of games at Michigan State, at Michigan, home against Ohio state and then on the road again at Iowa.
But the players say that’s why they came to Wisconsin – to play these challenging games. And those situations require leadership – which linebacker Vince Biegel considers an inherent trait.
“I’ve always considered myself a leader, whether it was back in fourth grade t-ball team or pop warner football in the field of Wisconsin Rapids,” said linebacker Vince Biegel. “My father always instilled in me at being a leader and that always came very naturally to me so to be able to earn the respect of my teammates now in my senior year and to be around the program and play in big games, it means a lot to me and being a captain and being a leader on this team means a lot, it’s something that I wear with great pride.”
The Badgers will have 27 days to prepare for the big schedule ahead.
