Badger Men’s Hockey wins third straight

Badgers hockey won their third straight game Friday at the Kohl Center with a 4-1 victory over Colorado College.
The teams remained scoreless after one period, but fireworks erupted in the second. Joseph LaBate got the party started when his wrister went top shelf to light the lamp and give the Badgers a 1-0 lead.
After Colorado College tied it at 1-1, and time winding down in the second period, Nic Kerdiles scored to give the Badgers a 2-1 lead. Kerdiles added an assist to score at least two points in four straight games.
Michael Mersch scored his team-leading ninth goal of the season and became the 72nd Badger to score 100 career points.
Wisconsin hosts Colorado College again tomorrow at 7 p.m.
