Badger football opens camp
First two practices at Camp Randall

MADISON — The Wisconsin Badger football team had its first practices of the 2014 season Monday at Camp Randall Stadium.
Head Coach Gary Andersen has takes a little different approach for the first few practices, splitting the team into a morning group and an afternoon group.
For example, Joel Stave was the quarterback in the morning practice while Tanner McEvoy had a chance to run the offense in the afternoon practice.
“There’s no number one’s and twos in the first four days of camp,” Andersen said.
“There’s an “A” practice and a “B” practice and everybody will compete. They’ll get reps, they’ll put it out there and it will allow the youth to be able to mix in a very competitive situation with the veterans on the team.”
The Badgers open their regular season Saturday, August 30th against LSU at NRG Stadium in Houston at 8 pm.
