AWOL inmate found on Madison’s east side, police say

MADISON, Wis. — A missing Dane County inmate was found on Madison’s east side Friday morning, officials said.
Allan S. Brown, 46, of Madison, was released Wednesday at 7:05 a.m. to go to work. He was due to return at 7:15 p.m. but didn’t return.
Brown was taken into custody around 9:30 a.m. on Friday on the east side of Madison and returned to the Dane County Jail, officials said.
Brown is serving a probation sentence for false imprisonment. He was sentenced with Huber privileges, which allows him to leave the jail to work.
