AWOL inmate found, arrested
MADISON, Wis. — An inmate who was declared AWOL was arrested Wednesday.
Michael Duarte, 19, was supposed to be serving a probation sentence with work release and was in the process of transferring that release to the Sauk County Jail.
Duarte failed the intake process and was sent back to Dane County, but he never reported there.
He was booked into the Sauk County Jail after being arrested and is waiting to be sent back to Dane County.
