Arthur Art Doyle Baryenbruch

Arthur “Art” Doyle Baryenbruch, age 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2022. He spent his final days with his family in the loving and caring community of Greenway Manor.

From the moment Art was born on January 26, 1934, he approached life enthusiastically with joy, passion, and charisma. He was born at his home in Spring Green, Wisconsin to his parents Arthur and Valeria Baryenbruch. Art learned the importance of hard work by helping his dad with his Rural Route dairy company by delivering milk via their horse, Jerry. Art met his sweetheart, the love of his life Charlotte “Shirley” Haas, at a Rainbow Garden roller skating party in 1950. From that moment on Shirley knew she could not resist his charm, warm smile, and big blue eyes.

After Art graduated from Spring Green High School in 1953, he went on to serve his country in the Army. Here he was assigned as a cook in Korea and continued to follow his love for sports by becoming a member of the Army flag football team. Art helped the team to victory by defeating Japan in the championship game before returning home in October 1955.

Upon his return, he married Shirley in January 1956 in Spring Green, WI. They immediately started their family with the birth of their three children, Jeffrey (Sheila) Baryenbruch, Kelly (Diane) Baryenbruch, and Mary Beth (Bob) Nachreiner.

Art followed his passion for food and hospitality by working for several local establishments, before owning his first restaurant Fennimore Hills in 1970, in Fennimore, WI. After 5 short years, he and Shirley made Spring Green their forever home with the purchase of the renowned Arthur’s Supper Club. Art left his mark by providing exceptional service and letting no one ever come without leaving happier.

In 1983, Art took his talents to Wisconsin Distributors, where he worked as a salesman for Budweiser. Upon his retirement, his company recognized him for his C.R.A.P. (class act, role-model, ambassador, and people person). which his family believes truly captured him until the very end.

Art spent his entire life celebrating and cheering on his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all their endeavors. He never missed a single sporting event no matter the distance. He was deeply loved and will be missed by his eight grandchildren; Josh (Emily), Jacob (Julianne), Luke (Hailey), and Noah (Samantha) Baryenbruch and Ryan (Kristi), Adam (Nichole), Andrew (Tori) Nachreiner, and Rebecca (Cody) Pusel, 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to his immediate family Art is survived by four siblings, Rita Scallon, Jerry (Mary Lou) Baryenbruch, Rosie Porter, Mick (Rhonda) Baryenbruch, sister-in-law, Pauline Baryenbruch, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Valeria Baryenbruch, four siblings, Roland, Ramona (Kenneth) Stephens, Jack (Mary Ann), Ruth Stoddard and a daughter-in-Law, Diane Baryenbruch.
