Arline M. Peterson

Brodhead – Arline M. Peterson, age 93, of Brodhead, passed away on Wednesday evening, April 4th, 2012 at Wood’s Crossing Nursing Home, Brodhead, following a short illness. She was born on February 10, 1919 in Winnebago County, IL, the daughter of Albert and Christina (Moeller) Schwartz. She married Harry W. Peterson on July 27, 1940 in Dubuque, IA. He passed away on January 17, 2005.

Arline was an active dairy farmer with her husband and they loved to dance at Bluff View. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening and caring for the yard. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and greatly appreciated the spiritual fellowship.

Survivors include sons; Jan (Carolyn) Peterson, Janesville, Dale (Marcia) Peterson, Orfordville; daughter, Vicki (Edward) Brown, Madison; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a brother, Robert Schwartz, Wood’s Crossing Nursing Home, Brodhead, and numerous nephews, nieces, and their children. Arline was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bruno, Melvin, Mike, and Leland Schwartz; sisters, Viola Gaston, Agnes Stoll, and Lorraine Schwartz.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday April 10, 2012 at Bethany Lutheran Church, West Church Road, Brodhead, WI, with Rev. Larry F. Froemming officiating. Burial will in the West Luther Valley Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Bethany Lutheran Church.
