Arlene L. Rathbun

Madison-Arlene L. Rathbun, age 91, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Four Winds Manor in Verona.
She was born on June 18, 1920 in Independence, Iowa, the daughter of Eugene and Mable (Young) Chase.

Arlene married Donald Rathbun Sr. on August 23, 1939. She has lived in Fitchburg since 1968. She was employed in food service at Arbor House Nursing Home in Madison. Arlene volunteered for R.S.V.P. and was very active with the Senior Center in Fitchburg.

She is survived by: son, Roger (Laurie) Rathbun of Lebanon, TN, daughter, Sheryl (John) Hinze Of Madison, son, Don (Pat) Rathbun of Madison; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruth, Mable, Eugene, Jane, and Virginia.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband; daughters, Judith Ann, Nancy Johnson; son-in-law, Jimmie Johnson and sisters, Grace and Thelma.

Private family services will be held. Arlene will be buried next to her husband in Prairie Mound Cemetery in Oregon.
