Arizona Cardinals challenge hungry fans with 7-pound, $75 burger
Arizona football fans with a big appetite can chow down on a seven-pound burger at Cardinals games this season.
University of Phoenix Stadium, the NFL team’s home field in Glendale, Arizona, is offering the Gridiron Burger for $75. The burger features plenty of beef in five third-pound patties, but the meat doesn’t stop there.
It also includes five all-beef hot dogs, five bratwursts, 20 slices of American cheese, eight slices of bacon, eight chicken tenders, 12 ounces of fries, lettuce, pickles and tanker sauce. All that is contained between 10-inch buns.

Anybody who finishes the burger in less than an hour will receive a Cardinals jersey and get their photo displayed on the stadium’s scoreboard.
Besides the sheer size of the burger, though, there is one other catch: Fans have to place their order before kickoff.
Executive chef Sean Kavanaugh told the Arizona Republic that the exact caloric content of the Gridiron Burger hasn’t been tallied just yet. He added that three members of his staff tried to down the monster burger Monday, but none managed to finish it.

The team will also offer a “diet” version of the burger that includes all the same ingredients but in smaller quantities, the Republic reported.
Fans will get their first shot at the Gridiron Burger challenge when the Cardinals open up their preseason against the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday.
