Archie Leeder

JANESVILLE—Archie “AJ” Leeder, age 24, went into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday June 14, 2012, at UW Hospital in Madison. He was born on June 18, 1987, in Janesville, the son of John and Karen (Smith) Leeder and was a 2006 graduate of Parker High School. AJ was pursuing his dream of becoming a firefighter and had graduated from Blackhawk Technical College Fire Fighting Courses 1 and 2 and their EMT training course. He was continuing his training with the Fitchburg Fire Department, Fitchburg, WI. AJ gave the gift of life following his death thru organ donation. He was employed at BJ Electric in Madison. AJ was a member of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and enjoyed the Green Bay Packers, motorcycle riding and especially spending time with his fiancé, Jessica Brandon.

He is survived by his parents, John and Karen Leeder of Janesville; 4 siblings: Rev. John (Roxi) Leeder of San Diego, CA , David (Monique) Leeder of Janesville, Kim (Michael) LaCount of Oregon, WI and Julie (Tim) Rathman of North Freedom, WI; 12 nieces and nephews; Fiancé , Jessica Brandon; lifelong friend, Luke Reinke; aunts, uncles, cousin and friends. AJ was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at 11:00 am at Peace Lutheran Church, Janesville with Rev. Richard Lehmann officiating. Visitation will be Friday June 22, 2012, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Schneider Apfel Schneider & Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Janesville.
