Anna Margaret Sitas

Anna M. Sitas, age 93 formerly of Mauston, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Crestview Nursing Home in New Lisbon, Wisconsin.

The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Mauston with Father Valentine Joseph celebrating. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass at 11:00 A.M.

Anna was born April 27, 1918 in Mauston the daughter of Peter and Wilhelmina (Kastner) Ruland. She married Charles Andrew Sitas on April 18, 1942. She worked with her mother in the restaurant business in Mauston cooking and baking. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting.

Anna is survived by her four sons, Charles, Jr. (Charlene), Chad, James and William (Connie); two daughters, Penny (Jim) Arens and Louise Vanderspool; one sister, Elizabeth Larson and one brother, Peter (Carol) Ruland; 15 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles A.; daughter, Michelle; 1 brother and 5 sisters.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
