ANN L. (ROOT) REISDORF

Madison/The Villages, Florida/On the afternoon of August 15, 2017, Ann Reisdorf passed away peacefully at Cornerstone Hospice, The Villages, FL she was surrounded by her loving family.
Ann was born August 9, 1934, in Albany WI, the only child of Raymond and Marcelline (Graves) Root. She worked 33 years at the Wisconsin State Crime Lab in Madison, WI until retirement in 1998.
Ann married Bill Aide in 1955. They had one daughter and lived on Madison’s North Side. Before Bill’s death in 1989, they moved to Cherokee Condominiums and enjoyed time with their two grandchildren. In 1998 Ann met and married Ray Reisdorf. She was happy to enlarge her family to include Ray’s four children and three grandchildren.
Ann had a beautiful life savoring visits with her family and friends, traveling near and far with her loved ones; weekly golf, bridge and mahjong games; daily walks and word puzzles. Ann was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church in The Villages, FL. Her faith was extremely important to her.
Ann was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill; and her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Ray Reisdorf; her daughter, Jill Bender (Jeff Seamans); four stepchildren, Kathryn (Ray) Young, Joan (Tom) Janssen, MC (Val Hodgson) Reisdorf and Charles (Susan) Reisdorf; eight grandchildren, Nicole Bettin, Lee (Lisa) Bender, Christine (Charles) Wright, Megan (Matthew) Wisniewski, Nelson, Miranda, Cole and Rebecca Reisdorf; and six great grandchildren, Ryley, Reese, Hayley, Ella, Colton and Teagan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on August 28, 2017 at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Avenue with Msgr. Charles Schluter presiding. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Avenue, Madison and again on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. There will also be a gathering at a near future date in The Villages, Florida, to celebrate Ann’s life.
