American Family Children’s Hospital ranked among top 50

U.S. News and World Report ranked American Family Children’s Hospital among the top 50 children’s hospitals in five medical and surgical specialties, according to a release.
AFCH was ranked No. 28 in cancer, No. 31 in diabetes and endocrinology, No. 37 in gastroenterology, No. 31 in orthopedics and No. 36 in nephrology.
Data on clinical and operational information was collected from 184 children’s hospitals, according to the release. The data included level and quality of hospital resources related to patient care, delivery of health care and clinical outcomes like patient survival, complications and infection rates.
“Every day we aim for high-quality, patient-and-family-centered care, something that is deeply embedded in the culture of our physicians and staff,” Jeff Poltawsky, senior vice president of American Family Children’s Hospital said in the release. “This year’s rankings reflect our commitment to the best patient care and family experience.”
