Alois J Bindl

Plain -Alois J. Bindl, age 92, passed away peacefully at Greenway Manor Nursing Home in Spring Green, WI on May 3, 2021.

He was born on September 4, 1928 to Alois A. and Clara (Lins) Bindl. He married Marian Durst on September 8, 1952, and together they raised seven children.

Alois deeply loved his family and was a faith-filled, kind-hearted, hard-working dairy farmer his entire life. He was always on the edge of innovative farming. He was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain, WI, the Knights of Columbus, and the Farm Bureau. In younger years, he was very active in the church and served on various boards. When time allowed, he enjoyed spending time with his family, doing woodworking projects, bowling, playing cards, and fishing.

Alois is survived by his children, Sharon (Jim) Bardenwerper, Ron (Rhonda), Gary (Cathy), Hubert (Jenell), Tom (Susan), Kathy (Rich) Heath, and Theresa (Raja) Faris; proud grandpa to 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by sisters-in-law, Mary (Durst) Lins, Betty Durst, and Charlotte Bindl; many nieces and nephews.

Alois was preceded in death by his wife, Marian, in 2003, sisters, brothers, and in-laws, Celia (Hubert) Neuheisel, Alfred (Marie), George, Clara (Edward) Schwoerer, Edward (Alberta), Mary (Bill) Maerz, Dorothy (Alvin) Haag, Rosemary (Bernard) Durst, Nora Durst, Bernard Lins, and Hubert Durst.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain, WI on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Burial with immediate family will follow. Masks and social distancing will be required.

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Greenway Manor and Assisted Living for all the years of special caregiving you have done for our dad.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be gifted in Alois’s name to St. Luke’s Parish.
